Victory Fund Endorses Ali Brown for City-County Council
Ali for Indy picks up third endorsement from a national organization
Ali for Indy announced that the LGBTQ Victory Fund has endorsed Ali Brown for Indianapolis City-County Council today. The third national organization to throw their support behind Brown, this comes on the heels of endorsements from Vote Pro Choice and Run for Something.
“I’m thrilled to be endorsed by the Victory Fund,” said Ali Brown, candidate for City-County Council District 5. “Their work to bring new voices to the table is vital to moving our city and our country forward and I am honored to have their backing. While investing in new voices is important, I know that we all want to work towards lifting up our people and communities in whatever way that we can. With the Victory Fund’s support, I’m one step closer to lifting up my Lawrence community in our City-County Council.”
“LGBTQ Victory Fund is pleased to endorse Ali Brown for Indianapolis City-County Council, District 5,” said Mayor Annise Parker, President & CEO of LGBTQ Victory Fund. “Ali’s commitment to smart public policy that addresses the real concerns of constituents makes her the best candidate for District 5. When she wins in November, Ali will become a vital LGBTQ voice.”
The LGBTQ Victory Fund works to change the face and voice of America’s politics and achieve equality for LGBT Americans by increasing the number of openly LGBT elected officials at all levels of government.
Brown is running to be a voice for working parents and to fight for access to affordable childcare, public safety and complete streets, workforce development, and mass transit. As City-County Councilor, Brown will prioritize issues effecting Indy’s workforce development, families, and children, in order to ensure that working parents have a champion in our Council.
